Weekend project

Planting daffodil and tulip bulbs in autumn is a simple, rewarding project to do with kids – it’s tricky to get wrong and provides some very satisfying flowers to let you know when spring has arrived.

How to try it:

  • Get some tulip and / or daffodil bulbs.
  • Plant them following the instructions on the bag (usually ~10-15cm deep, 10cm apart), either in deep pots or directly in the garden.
  • Wait until spring for your children to proudly claim all the credit (even if they mostly supervised).
